GSH Junior Golf Academy

Good Swings Happen Junior Golf Academy’s mission is to positively affect children’s lives through the game of golf. We place “having fun” within an enriching environment as our number one priority. We have a passion for coaching the game of golf to juniors and strongly believe that learning proper skills and a healthy mindset at an early age gives students the best opportunity to reach their full potential. We aim to inspire and to instill valuable lessons that support golf skill development and life skill development one in the same. Golf is a game for a lifetime when it is nurtured as such.

Our Mission

What We Do

At Good Swings Happen Junior Golf Academy we focus on developing young golfers' skills through various programs, emphasizing a positive learning environment and fun while aiming to improve their swing mechanics and overall game play; essentially, it's a program designed to help kids "make good swings" on the golf course.

  • Focus on Juniors: we cater to young golfers looking to develop their skills.

  • Skill Level Divisions: we offer different program levels based on player age & ability.

  • Positive Learning Environment: we create a fun and encouraging atmosphere for learning.

  • Comprehensive Training: we provide instruction on swing mechanics, etiquette, course management, and mental game aspects.

  • Tons of Programming Options: we offer Leagues, Clinics, Camps, and Lessons for various skill levels.

Player Levels

  • Children playing a mini-golf game outdoors with small cardboard pyramid targets and a wooden barrier, supervised by an adult. The setting is a sunny grassy area with trees and a fence in the background.

    LEVEL 1

These classes are designed for 5-8 year olds who are brand new to the game or have limited experience. This first touch entry level program level aims to develop fundamentals and a love for the game.

  • Four young girls standing on a golf course, smiling and flexing their arms to show strength, with golf bags and clubs. They are dressed in casual sportswear, with a backdrop of green grass, trees, and a residential building under a partly cloudy sky.

    LEVEL 2

These classes are geared for players 7-12 years old with limited experience who are looking to improve skills and etiquette that will allow them to play golf out on the course.

  • Three children walking on a golf course carrying golf bags with clubs, wearing golf hats and sportswear, with trees and a building visible in the background.

    LEVEL 3

These classes are geared for players (8-13) who already have experience playing on the golf course, have taken private and group class lessons previously and have a baseline skill level and awareness of the game but are “looking to get better.” Level 3 golfers are serious about playing the game on a regular basis and participating in leagues, tournaments and organized play opportunities.

  • Two young men smiling and holding trophies at a golf tournament, wearing caps and white towels with black lettering, standing outdoors on a sunny day near a banner that reads 'California Junior Golf'.

    LEVEL 4

These classes are for players (10-15) who currently play competitive golf in leagues, tournaments and are passionate and committed in their pursuit of better play. A level 4 player is someone who has a high level of interest playing high school golf and college golf in the future. These classes include skill development, course management, mental training and otherwise all aspects of performance training.
