GSH JUNIOR WINTER PLAY
6-Week Program | November 2 – December 27
Player Levels: 2, 3 & 4
Visit the Junior Academy page on our website for detailed Player Level descriptions.
A MORE FLEXIBLE APPROACH TO JUNIOR GOLF
We know every family has a different schedule, and every player has different needs. This winter, we're making GSH Junior League more flexible so families can choose the playing opportunities that work best for them.
We're keeping the same team-oriented, community-focused approach to junior golf while giving families more freedom to select their preferred days and times for on-course play.
Whether your player wants to compete during the week, play on weekends, or participate in both, you can build a schedule around your family's availability and your child's goals.
You choose when to play. We'll help your golfer develop.
HOLIDAY BREAKS
There will be no program sessions during Thanksgiving week or Christmas week.
Thanksgiving Break: November 23–29
Christmas Break: December 21–27
The program runs within the November 2–December 27 calendar window, with six active weeks of programming.

MATCH FORMATS & PLAYER GROUPS
Players will be grouped according to age, skill level, and playing experience to ensure matches are fun, fair, and appropriately challenging.
Match formats may include:
Experienced players: Best Ball or 2-Player Scramble
Younger or developing players: 4-Player Scramble
Additional formats: Adjusted to suit each group's abilities and development goals
Our goal is to create opportunities for every player to contribute, learn to compete, and build confidence on the golf course.
THE TEAM EXPERIENCE
The GSH Junior League is about more than keeping score. We want players to experience what makes team sports special: friendship, competition, teamwork, and belonging.
Friend pairing requests are welcome and will be accommodated whenever possible.
Players will have opportunities to build relationships with teammates, learn how to compete together, and develop the confidence to navigate the golf course independently.
DEVELOPMENT FOCUS
Throughout the program, players will work on:
Rules & Golf Etiquette
Course Management & Decision-Making
Mental Game Fundamentals
Pre-Shot & Post-Shot Routines
Pace of Play
Sportsmanship & Teamwork
Scoring & On-Course Strategy
IMPORTANT PROGRAM NOTES
Hydration & Snacks: Players should bring their own water and snacks.
Equipment: Players must bring their own clubs and be able to carry their golf bags during matches.
Weather: If weather or course conditions affect a session, adjustments or makeup opportunities will be communicated as needed.
OUR GOAL
Our mission remains the same: to create a fun, supportive, and confidence-building environment where junior golfers can develop their skills, make friends, learn to compete, and grow their love for the game.
More flexibility for families. More opportunities for players. The same GSH community.
