GSH INTRO TO GOLF - Level 1/2 Beginner (6 WEEKS JAN-MAR SESSION)

Intro to Golf — Level 1 (Ages 5–7)

This fun and engaging beginner program is designed to introduce young players to the game of golf in a non-competitive, supportive environment. The focus is on learning basic skills, building confidence, and—most importantly—helping kids enjoy the game. Through age-appropriate instruction, games, and activities, players will learn the foundations of golf while developing comfort on the course.

What We’ll Cover:

Grip, stance, and swing fundamentals. Putting, chipping, and full swing basics. Golf etiquette and simple rules. Course awareness and basic routines. Building a positive mindset and having fun!!! The goal of this program is not perfection, but enjoyment, confidence, and a strong foundation for future play.

Class Schedule

Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 11:15 AM or 11:30 AM – 12:45 PM

Session Dates

January 17 – March 7 (6 weeks of class with 2 rain outs built in)
This is an 8-week block, structured to allow for 6 total sessions, accounting for possible rain or weather delays.

Program Structure (6 Sessions Total)

‍ ‍4 sessions: “Summer camp–style” learning stations using the putting green, short game areas, and driving range 2 sessions: On-course “golf experience” days, introducing players to playing the game
(On-course sessions depend on player readiness and course availability.)‍ ‍

What to Bring

Water bottle and light snack Golf clubs (we can provide clubs if needed) Comfortable clothing and tennis shoes

Drop-Off & Pick-Up

Location: Putting Green at Westdrift Golf Course. Quick drop-off available near the pickleball courts. Garage parking is available and can be validated in the pro shop. Metered street parking is also available—walk down the driveway
